Taxation Specialist for Asset Management

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a Tax Accountant and Senior Tax Accountant to join their team in Sydney.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in funds management taxation accounting or 4+ years of tax experience with checking and reviewing duties.

We estimate the salary range for this position to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per annum.

About the Role

This is a contract role with an initial 5-month commitment, which may extend or lead to permanent employment for strong performers.

The successful applicant will work within the Tax Operations team, interacting with various managers and teams across the Operations Division.

  • Tax Reporting: Accurate delivery of tax reporting deliverables on time.
  • Tax Calculations: Reviewing distribution calculations, superannuation fund tax calculations, and tax returns.
  • Client Profiles: Maintaining client tax profiles and security static data for reporting and tax calculations.
  • Client Queries: Responding to client queries and adhering to operational compliance and risk policies.

The team requires candidates with relevant qualifications, including a degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in project completion, including testing tax templates, and contributing to meeting team deliverables.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in funds management taxation accounting or 4+ years of tax experience with checking and reviewing duties.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Tax experience working within financial services, preferably in custody or funds management.
