At REO Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Taxation Specialist to join our Finance team on a long-term contract basis.

About the Role

This is a critical role that will require you to manage all tax-related matters for our organisation. You will work closely with our Finance Director and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of tax and treasury deliverables.

Salary Package

The successful candidate can expect a salary package of $70-$80 per hour, providing an excellent opportunity for career growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage annual taxation preparation, BAS, FBT, and employee share scheme lodgement with the ATO
  • Review reconciliation of BAS and lodging with ATO
  • Lodgement of monthly and annual payroll tax returns
  • Preparation of FBT return, including analysis of entertainment, property benefit, expense payment benefits, and residual benefits
  • Preparation of company tax return, including PCG analysis, reportable tax position schedule, and liaison with external advisers
  • Maintenance of tax fixed asset register, including software development pool and capital works
  • Liaison with transfer pricing adviser for preparation of transfer pricing documentation
  • Liaison with R&D adviser and coordination of provision of information for preparation of R&D tax incentive claim
  • Preparation of annual employee share scheme statements for lodging with the ATO
  • Preparation and lodging of annual withholding tax on interest and royalty paid to non-resident
Candidate Profile

We are looking for a proactive individual who can work independently while building strong relationships with other stakeholders, including Finance teams, external advisers, and the ATO. The ideal candidate will be qualified CA/CPA with extensive knowledge of Australian Taxation standards and transfer pricing, and able to work within tight deadlines.
