The Position: Technician

We are seeking a self-motivated, confident, and passionate Print Service Specialist, with experience in machinery maintenance. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Resolving operational issues in the field, identifying any issues and performing troubleshooting procedures.
  • Determining customer needs and offering recommendations.
  • Contributing to business growth and sustainment through technical involvement, influence, and teamwork.

Typical duties will include:

  • New equipment installations, customer training, emergency and routine repair, contract sales and maintenance, and other service-related activities as directed by management.
  • Determining and recommending which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
  • Achieving and maintaining a level of customer satisfaction consistent with print quality guidelines and objectives.
  • Collaborating and teamworking with sales members to assist with machine demos, installations, technical training, courtesy calls, customer communication, and follow-up activities.

You will be assigned to a divisional service territory with a primary customer list, which will be considered the primary area of responsibility.

Education / Skills/ Requirements:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or trade qualification.
  • 1-2+ years mission-critical print machinery maintenance experience.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical system theory and operation.
  • Possess interpersonal and customer relationship management skills.
  • Teamwork driven, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Willing and able to share knowledge and conduct training to diverse audiences of varying size.
  • Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management skills; able to prioritize multiple activities and commitments.
