The role of the ICU/PICU Quality Manager is to drive excellence in patient care by managing the Quality and Safety Portfolio within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This position is central to ensuring that our intensive care services meet the highest standards of safety, clinical governance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead quality and safety initiatives by reviewing clinical incidents and transforming data into meaningful actions that enhance patient outcomes.
- Support and monitor improvement programs and ensure alignment with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, playing a vital role in accreditation processes.
- Prepare, coordinate and facilitate ICU/PICU Clinical Quality and Patient Care meetings, ensuring key issues are identified, addressed, and actioned.
- Collaborate across disciplines by working closely with clinicians, nurse managers, medical directors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
- A strong background in quality assurance or a related field.
