Physical Security Manager Job Description

The successful candidate will oversee the design and installation of physical security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and camera surveillance. They will also manage vendor relationships, track budgets, and lead teams to achieve project goals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement physical security systems for new data centers, expansions, and special projects.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, contract execution, quality assurance, and change orders.
  • Lead teams in achieving project objectives and ensure compliance with AWS security standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across AWS to drive global, regional, and local security initiatives.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience working with physical security design and implementation of electronic security systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in program or project management, focusing on physical security standards and designs.
  • Knowledge of construction plans, elevations, and other design and construction artifacts for architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and telecommunications plans.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lenel Access Control Systems and Digital Monitoring Products.
  • Training in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
