Behavioural Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioural Support Practitioner to join our team at Ability Action Australia. As a Behavioural Support Practitioner, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable members of our community by acting as an advocate and role model.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate, develop, and deliver evidence-based support plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminating restrictive practices.
- Build the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support our clients in their lives, including family, carers, and friends.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve our shared goals.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registration as a Suitable or Core NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- A degree-level qualification as an allied health professional or a related field (e.g. OT, Speech, Social Work, Psychology).
- Experience creating, implementing, and reviewing behaviour support plans, or experience working professionally and/or personally with disability and challenging behaviours.
- A genuine passion for working in the Disability sector.
