Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components
  • Utilize GMAW (flux core) and GTAW welding processes
  • Fabricate heavy industrial pipework, platework, and structural steel
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Work with various materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium, and exotics
  • Maintain high-quality and safety standards throughout all work
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification as a Boilermaker
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, GMAW (flux core), and GTAW welding techniques
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience in fabricating heavy industrial pipework, platework, and structural steel
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail
  • Ideal candidates will also possess experience working in a workshop environment, particularly in mining, industrial, or marine sectors
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
