Key Responsibilities
  • Design calculations and equipment selection for various applications, including bulk materials handling systems, slurry & hydraulic systems, mechanical platework, etc.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of project-specific procedures, work practices, plans, and protocols to improve efficiency.
  • Review vendor documentation and facilitate incorporation into project designs, ensuring constructability, operability, and maintainability.
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific requirements and current industry work codes and standards.
  • Execute project delivery within schedule, budget, and quality criteria with a strong focus on safety.
  • Proactively identify risks, both project and technical, and take appropriate action to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with base metals, rare earth minerals, and mineral processing in a design and construct environment.
  • Experience in Materials Handling and plant front-end, slurry, water, and solutions pumping and pipeline design.
  • Understanding of relevant Australian and industry codes and standards.
  • Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan work.
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously to meet strict deadlines.
  • Good attitude, team focus, and willingness to learn.
  • Valid rights to work in Australia - Essential.
