We are seeking a motivated and effective leader to join our team in the role of Follow the Dream Coordinator.

The Role

The successful applicant will play an important part in providing strategic leadership and fostering a positive school culture.

The position involves coordinating all aspects of the Follow the Dream program and supporting its integration into the daily operations of the college.

The successful applicant is encouraged to provide educational leadership that builds capacity within the school and community by implementing and promoting the Follow the Dream program.

The position requires collaboration with school leaders and teaching staff to develop and implement targeted programs, plans, and whole-school approaches aimed at improving student achievement, in line with the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and coordination of the Follow the Dream program
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially Aboriginal families, communities, and industry groups
  • Develop and implement targeted programs, plans, and whole-school approaches to improve student achievement

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning practices, particularly relating to Aboriginal students and their communities
  • Demonstrated extensive skills and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating learning programs and strategies at a school, region or system level
  • Capacity to manage physical and financial resources
  • Ability to provide strategic leadership that builds capacity, deals effectively with change and generates innovative solutions related to achieving educational outcomes
