Senior Mechanical Engineer Role

The Brisbane Building Services team is engaged in a broad portfolio of projects with a strong emphasis on transport, defence, civic infrastructure and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mechanical design expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Deliver best practice and outcomes for clients saving on costs and time.
  • Take lead on small to medium size engineering design projects and support larger projects.
  • Communicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams.
  • Be a supporting figure and mentor for lesser experienced engineers.
  • Build solid client relationships and recognize business development opportunities.
  • Represent and promote the business with local and regional markets.
About You
  • Hold a recognized tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing mechanical services systems (air conditioning, heating and ventilation).
  • Ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines including Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection and Environmentally Sustainable Design.
  • Proven project experience in the building services sector across a range of large projects.
  • Working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.
  • Demonstrate a history of effectively managing competing priorities prioritizing work and meeting tight deadlines.
