Groundwater Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Engineering Geologist to join our team.

About the Role:

1. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical assessments and interpreting soil and rock materials to produce high-quality reports.
2. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced professionals and contribute to our client-centric approach.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with senior managers to schedule daily/weekly work requirements.
• Undertake data management, including logs, gINT, and Jira.
• Assist with digital data capture and processing as directed.
• Conduct engineering test pits using hand augers, backhoes, and excavators.
• Supervise drilling operations, perform logging, and sample soil material.
• Carry out in-situ geotechnical testing, such as dynamic cone penetrometer testing, hand shear vane testing, pocket penetrometer testing, and plate load tests.
• Prepare geotechnical reports for review and submission to clients.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, RMS, and other regulatory requirements.
• Prepare paperwork for field testing and laboratory testing.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Geology.
• A great attitude and ability to learn and work in a team environment.
• Ability to pass a 'fit to work' medical and regular drug and alcohol screening.
• The position involves manual labor.
• Valid driver's license.
• White Card.
