We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our organization. This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist legal services to decision makers, executives, and employees on matters affecting agency operations.

About the Role
  • Lead and develop a team of lawyers to provide independent, strategic, and client-centric legal services.
  • Deliver advice and litigation services on more complex matters in respect of current and emerging legal issues.
  • Oversee the development of procedures and systems to enhance the efficiency of the in-house legal practice.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage external legal providers and ensure compliance with service level standards.
  • Liaise and consult on a range of matters with senior levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide training to build legal literacy and capacity within the organization.
Requirements
  • Australian practicing certificate or ability to obtain one before commencing in the role.
  • Substantial legal experience at a senior practitioner level in matters relevant to the functions of the role.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate complex legal and strategic advice clearly to various audiences.
