
Strategic Support Officer

As a Strategic Support Officer, you will provide high-level administrative support to senior leaders and governance committees from our office.
You will be the main point of contact for strategic collaboration and communication between senior leaders and governance committee members.
The role is responsible for various modes of communication including email, phone calls, meeting minutes, and video conferencing.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and prioritizing communications directed to senior leaders.
- Drafting and preparing responses to correspondence for internal and external communications.
- Coordinating scheduling of governance committee meetings and maintaining details of action items.
- Gathering documents, drafting agendas, taking meeting minutes, and maintaining records.
- Answering and responding to phone calls, communicating messages, and preparing briefing materials.
- Coordinating travel arrangements and itineraries for senior leaders and partners.
- Maintaining calendars and progress reports for action items and strategic initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience in supporting senior leaders.
- Technological proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain discretion and professionalism.
Core Competencies:
- Organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in time management.
- Experienced communicator in legal services or professional administration.
- Reliable under pressure, maintains discretion and professionalism while managing multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience as an executive assistant or administrative professional supporting senior managers and executives.
- Training and experience in project management, event planning, financial accounting, public relations, human resources, and governance committee coordination are valuable assets.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced use of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other document processing programs.
- Knowledge of project management software, event planning tools, and financial accounting systems.
