Job Opportunity: Mechanical Trades Assistant

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our dynamic team in Western Australia. As a key member of our workshop, you will play a crucial role in assisting technicians with daily activities, maintaining the workshop environment, and participating in stocktakes.

The Role

  • Assist technicians with mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment is functioning optimally
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Participate in regular stocktakes and cycle counts, ensuring accurate inventory management
  • Operate forklifts or company vehicles as required, demonstrating proficiency and safety awareness
  • Perform other tasks that support the efficient running of the workshop, contributing to a productive work environment

Requirements

  • Forklift Licence
  • Manual light vehicle license
  • EWP Licence
  • Mechanical knowledge (trade certificate preferred), with a strong understanding of material handling equipment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technicians and other team members
