This part-time Behavioural Specialist Practitioner role is responsible for providing specialist assessment and intervention services to support individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver funded specialist services for capacity building under NDIS plans to internal and external clients.
- Provide direct specialist assessment and intervention services, including functional behaviour assessments, behaviour support plans, and discipline-specific assessments and interventions.
- Engage with clients to develop effective clinical intervention and therapeutic treatments based on quality assessment and evidence-based practice standards.
- Conduct functional behavioural assessments and complete detailed reporting adhering to the NDIS reporting framework.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the disability field with clients who have significant complex support needs.
- Experience with Allied Health professionals encouraged to apply (Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Workers).
- Knowledge of a broad range of psychological issues and effective treatment modalities.
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology with current general registration with AHPRA.
- Current working with children checks, NDIS Screening Check, and driver's license.
