Senior Environmental Planner Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Planner to lead complex projects and provide expert planning advice. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of engaging projects in environmental approvals.

The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, with experience in managing environmental approvals and providing sound planning advice to clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: Effective project management and provision of support to other projects as required.
  • Technical Expertise and Regulatory Awareness: Expert knowledge and application of relevant legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines in ecology, heritage, and environmental approvals.
  • Sales and Client Relationship Management: Developing internal and external relationships to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Coaching: Providing professional coaching and support to junior team members on their employment journey.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in planning or environment, a minimum of 3 years' experience in consulting or the public sector, and knowledge of Commonwealth and State legislation. Experience with Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) and Environment Effects Act 1978 (EE Act) referrals and approval management is also highly desirable.

What You Will Bring

Tertiary qualifications in planning or environment.

Minimum 3 years' experience in consulting or the public sector.
