Childcare and Family Support Specialist

This role involves working within the Northern Metropolitan Region, covering the Hume Merri-bek area in Family Services.
The Victorian Family Preservation Program is aimed at preventing at-risk children from entering or re-entering care and reunifying families with their parents.
About The RoleCandidates are required to possess a relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology or a related field.
Applicants holding a Diploma qualification and substantial experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Significant work experience supporting an understanding of child development issues among young parents and their families with complex needs.
- Experience working with attachment, trauma, and intergenerational disadvantage is highly valued.
- The ability to conduct complex casework with families and children who have experienced trauma is essential.
The role requires flexibility as employees may be required to work outside standard hours, between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, depending on client needs and program requirements.
