Developmental Educator

As a Developmental Educator at Everyday Independence, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to breaking down barriers for people with disabilities and ensuring NDIS-funded participants achieve the best possible outcomes for a significantly improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centered support and planning for people with disabilities, their families, and support teams.
- Build strong relationships to help participants envision a life full of positive experiences and opportunities for people of all ages.
- Work alongside participants and their key supports to develop new skills and habits, problem-solve challenges that prevent participants from living fulfilled lives.
- Champion the role of a social model practitioner by helping people overcome barriers that keep them from engaging with their local community and the wider world.
- Hold a Bachelor or Masters of Disability (or equivalent) and be eligible to be a member of the DEAI (Membership required upon commencement).
- Be passionate professionals with a strong advocacy for removing barriers using the social model of therapy.
- Show empathy and understanding, while being open and non-judgmental.
- Be driven to see high-impact outcomes in people's lives.
- Be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children's Check.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
