About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Counsellor to provide comprehensive support to clients addressing their emotional, social, and adjustment needs as part of a holistic allied health care approach.

This role involves working collaboratively with the allied health team to support clients during transitions to new educational or community settings. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing counselling sessions addressing emotional, social, and adjustment needs
  • Collaborating with the allied health team to support clients during transitions
  • Making referrals to other relevant services as needed

The successful candidate will have expertise in working with CALD families, proficiency in languages such as Dari, Hazaragi, and Farsi, and strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in vocational rehabilitation, disability services, or counselling
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
