Electrical Engineers play a vital role in the automotive industry, and as a Lead Engineer, you will lead the development of new products from concept to market release.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for leading the Electrical/Electronics team, ensuring delivery of projects in line with design briefs and agreed timelines.
  • You will drive the development of new electrical and electronic products, from initial concept to release.
  • Providing technical guidance on electrical integration of accessories into vehicles will also be an essential part of this role.
  • You will advise on the electrical architecture of new vehicles, including battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hybrid systems.
  • Collaborating with and managing technical communication with external suppliers is crucial.
About You
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience are necessary for success in this role.
  • A strong background in designing and developing wiring harnesses and low-voltage electrical circuits is essential.
  • Understanding modern automotive electrical architectures, including BEV and hybrid systems, is vital.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as Controller Area Network (CAN) and CAN FD is also necessary.
  • Experience working with external supply chains is beneficial.
  • A hands-on approach to problem-solving with practical application in the field is key.
  • Experience within an automotive manufacturer or relevant Tier 1 supplier would be highly regarded.
