About the Role

Coulson Group is seeking highly skilled and experienced UH-60/S70 Blackhawk helicopter pilots to join our team. As a key member of our aerial firefighting and emergency response team, you will be responsible for conducting complex flight operations in support of emergency services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Co-pilot of S70 A-9 Black Hawk helicopter in firefighting operations and other missions
  • Conduct aerial work operations such as aerial fire suppression, dispensing operations, external load, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), search and rescue, and other approved specialist operations
  • Work on a roster away from home base for extended periods at short notice
  • Be willing to fly other aircraft types if qualified and as required by the company
  • Maintain written and computerized flight logs and records
  • Ensure all flights, operations, and other work follow relevant regulations, company manuals, policies, and client standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Requirements
  • Australian Commercial Pilot's License (CPL) with a minimum of 3000 hours of flight experience
  • Rotary experience and Australian Class 1 Medical
  • Low Level Firefighting rating and Low Level Sling Load Rating
  • Minimum 3 years and 500 hours of experience in remote area and unimproved landing area operations
  • Minimum 3 years and 500 hours of background in Part 138 Aerial work operations, including firefighting and/or external load operations
  • The right to live and work in Australia
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
  • UH60/S70 Blackhawk endorsement
  • Grade 1 Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Rating
  • Multi-Engine Instrument Rating
