Sustainability Assurance Manager

About the RoleThis role is part of our IFRS & Corporate Reporting team, focusing on delivering engagements around voluntary and mandatory sustainability reporting, carbon footprint/accounting, and climate-related reporting strategy and transformation.
Key Responsibilities- Measure and report on clients' carbon footprint, including boundary setting and basis of preparation.
- Develop decarbonisation strategies, including target setting, to help clients reduce their environmental impact.
- Prepare gap analyses on TCFD recommendations, IFRS S1, and IFRS 2 to ensure clients are compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and publish voluntary and mandatory sustainability reports that showcase clients' commitment to sustainability.
- Advise clients from various sectors on value-creating sustainable solutions that drive business growth and reduce environmental impact.
- Execute advisory services, including ESG strategy, materiality, roadmap development, and transformation, to help clients achieve their sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with the team to develop client strategies and execute bespoke solutions to address client ESG opportunities and challenges.
- Liaise with senior stakeholders and clients to ensure objectives are met and risks are mitigated.
- Apply the firm's quality and professional delivery standards to deliver assurance services that meet the highest standards.
- Develop externally facing materials about the ESG practice, such as articles and presentations, and contribute to capability building internally through the development of tools and training.
We're looking for a passionate and driven individual who is committed to carbon accounting and working closely with clients to achieve their sustainability goals. You'll have a generalist consulting background and experience in professional services, with a growth mindset and a desire to succeed.
You'll possess:
- CA or CPA qualification, or a tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
- Sound experience working in an accounting, reporting, or assurance role.
- Demonstrable experience in climate/ESG/sustainability, including reporting frameworks and executing solutions for clients in response to ESG-related challenges.
- Knowledge and practical experience in consulting and project management, particularly in transformation, strategy, and business operations.
- Strong project management, research, and presentation capabilities.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a self-motivated approach to the role.
