Director of Sustainability Assurance

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Climate Change and Sustainability services team at KPMG. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in leading our assurance services and supporting business development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead assurance services for our clients, ensuring high-quality analysis and reporting.
- Support business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with clients.
- Apply technical knowledge to lead assurance and advisory projects, ensuring robust and rigorous ESG information collection, measurement, and reporting.
- Build trusted networks with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Grow personal knowledge in the dynamic field of sustainability and ESG, staying up-to-date with international frameworks and guidelines.
- Knowledge and experience of international sustainability frameworks and guidelines, including ISSB, GRI, SDGs, UNPRI, TCFD, TNFD, GRESB, SASB, NGER Scheme, ERF, and CDP.
- Knowledge of and practical ability to apply International and/or Australian Auditing Standards (ISAE and ASAE).
- Ability to conduct technical and high-quality analysis of ESG processes and data measurement, including benchmarking organisational performance.
- Strong assurance knowledge and experience, including planning, risk assessments, designing the assurance approach and procedures, testing and analysis, review, and reporting.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, particularly when communicating on an engagement to a wide range of stakeholders.
- A strong passion for sustainability and ESG issues.
- Strong ability to engage with clients and develop meaningful relationships to aid in business development.
- A demonstrated track record of successfully working as part of a team, including the ability to mentor and train junior team members.
Tertiary qualification in science, engineering, accounting, or commerce is advantageous.
