Training and Assessment Officer

The role of the Training and Assessment Officer involves delivering short courses related to first aid, emergency response, and water safety across Victoria. These courses are designed to equip participants with essential skills for aquatic-related activities.

We are seeking an experienced trainer who can effectively deliver presentations and training sessions to diverse client groups while building relationships and fostering rapport with clients, internal business units, and training colleagues. This individual should possess the ability to conduct flexible assessments, maintain current relevant qualifications, and meet professional development requirements as per ASQA / VET standards.

In this position, you will have opportunities to develop your skills in vocational training and contribute to Life Saving Victoria's mission to prevent aquatic-related death and injury. You will be part of a supportive team that shares a passion for water safety and lifesaving.

To excel in this role, you must hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) and demonstrate expertise in areas such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid, advanced first aid, swimming and water safety teaching, pool lifeguarding, and inland waterways life saving certificates.

Requirements:

- Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)

- Possess extensive knowledge in vocational training, particularly in areas such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid, advanced first aid, swimming and water safety teaching, pool lifeguarding, and inland waterways life saving certificates
