Job Title: Cloud Platform SpecialistA cloud platform specialist is required to work on various projects, architecting and documenting long-term development and deployment goals to support federal events such as elections and major projects.
  1. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the agency in designing software applications.
  2. The role will involve undertaking very complex and/or sensitive work, under broad direction, utilising expertise across a range of activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate effectively with technical teams.
  • Establish and maintain cloud platforms, repositories, and artefacts.
  • Ensure cloud platforms are current in their toolsets, resilient, secure, and automated wherever possible.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues with the operation of an application.
  • Meet deadlines and provide high-standard technical documentation.
  • Assist with cloud-first deployment pipeline development.
  • Create processes that manage the delivery pipeline from development through to production.
  • Orchestrate delivery pipelines across design, build, test, deploy, and run.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in working with major Cloud Platforms (e.g., Azure / AWS / Google Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with deploying and maintaining Azure resources including Azure App Service.
  • Relevant technology certifications across the cloud infrastructure landscape.
  • Proven experience in working in a hybrid environment and designing moves from on-premise to cloud platforms.
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining complex Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Proficient in developing pipelines that deploy Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
  • Able to understand and disseminate industry terminology and concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience developing .Net Core and .Net framework Applications.
  • Good knowledge of implementing IAC with CICD (Azure DevOps / GitHub).
  • Experience with GIT version control and common branching strategies.
  • Experience with Visio to create technical documentation.
