The Role:

This position involves conducting routine sample preparation and food testing, as well as performing a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing microbiological media and standards, performing basic testing and sample preparation, and assisting with writing and reviewing documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing microbiological media and standards
  • Performing basic testing and sample preparation, utilizing aseptic technique
  • Assisting with writing and reviewing documentation, such as laboratory methods and standard operating procedures
  • Coordinating with internal clients
  • Performing basic calibrations

Requirements:

  • Experience in instrumental techniques is essential
  • Experience in labware/LIMS is desirable
  • Understanding of the principles of tests conducted
  • Ability to be an effective trainer
  • Laboratory experience, preferably in food testing
