Senior Trade Measurement Professional

The role involves undertaking highly complex work that delivers quality outcomes from trade measurement services.
- Leading and mentoring staff in trade measurement;
- Establishing priorities to meet compliance targets by coordinating inspections of traders, packing houses, and licensees;
- Planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance programs by conducting inspections to assess compliance with trade measurement legislation;
- Negotiating and providing high-level technical advice to stakeholders, including internal and external teams;
- Investigating breaches of trade measurement legislation and preparing briefs for enforcement actions;
- Developing and implementing proactive compliance strategies, plans, and initiatives in line with the National Workplan;
- Supervising staff development and mentoring Assistant Trade Measurement Officers in field situations and remote learning environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent;
- Certificate IV in Trade Measurement or greater;
- A qualification demonstrating knowledge or experience as a Trade Measurement Inspector under section 18MA of the National Measurement Act 1960.
