About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our communication systems and equipment, minimizing downtime, and maximizing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of our platform solutions and services to effectively identify and communicate opportunities to enhance or resolve customer needs.
  • Install, configure, and maintain communication equipment and systems within customer environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuity in communication services.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and performance of communication infrastructure and provide timely reports highlighting risk and applicable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate installation projects, upgrades, and system expansions within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license with no conditions.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call roster cycle, providing additional allowances and overtime.
  • Demonstrated focus on customer centricity, understanding customer needs and concerns as the core starting point to building relationships and demonstrating value.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking concepts, protocols, and hardware technologies.
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail combined with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues accurately and efficiently.
