About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Support Worker to join our team at KinCare in Mount Gravatt QLD. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our elderly customers to live independently at home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers have access to nutritious food and groceries.
  • Offer social support and engage our customers in lifestyle activities, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, to support our customers' daily needs.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families, providing a sense of comfort and security.
  • Transport customers to appointments and provide social support, helping them stay connected with their community.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including dementia, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.

Requirements

  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, with a willingness to travel to support our customers.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a strong commitment to supporting our elderly customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible approach to scheduling.
