Job Title

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical health and building expertise and advice to the Manager Building and Development, other staff, and the public on health and building related matters.
  • Meet deadlines associated with assessment of applications and other statutory certificates and applications as required.
  • Deliver excellent customer service through efficient delivery of clear and accurate advice at the front counter, in pre-development application discussions, and general correspondence.
  • Represent the council at meetings and engage with members of the public to guide development within the region and achieve high-quality building outcomes.
  • Respond promptly to correspondence regarding environmental health and building issues.
  • Coordinate programs and undertake inspections as required to ensure that the council meets its obligations regarding food safety, waste disposal, and legislative requirements.
