About the Role

Cochlear is a global leader in implantable hearing solutions, and we're seeking a skilled Maintenance & Calibration Technician to join our Sydney manufacturing operations. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the maximum availability and safety of our manufacturing equipment and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment and services in accordance with Cochlear's Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Resolve unscheduled (breakdown) tasks relating to plant and equipment, and address product yield related issues resulting from plant and equipment failures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business requirements are met in an effective and timely manner
  • Provide technical information and advice to internal customers, including Production and Engineering teams
Requirements
  • Mechanical or Electronics Trade Qualification is highly desirable
  • Possess proven abilities in the maintenance and calibration of specialized manufacturing equipment or test systems
  • Strong planning and scheduling skills, ensuring planned work orders are completed within regulatory timeframes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise technical information for documentation purposes
  • Proficient computer skills – Windows and Office suite
