Finance Manager Opportunity

ThompsonCook is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for managing and financial accounting for all entities within the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and financial accounting for all entities within the group
  • Weekly performance reporting including sales reporting, KPI analysis and presentation to the Senior Leadership team
  • Work closely with the Partners to review monthly performance, identifying risks and mitigating opportunities that aid in delivering the annual budget and long-term strategies
  • Manage the annual budget
  • Financial analysis including cashflow analysis, forecasting, cost reduction analysis
  • Working capital management including processing and reconciling payments and receipts
  • Reviewing month end including reconciling Xero ledgers, Balance Sheet reconciliations, inter-entity transactions, consolidation and month end reports
  • Preparation of quarterly board reporting and associated documentation
  • End-to-end payroll processing for Australian business
  • Responsible for overseeing preparation and lodgement of quarterly and monthly BAS/IAS and FBT and payroll tax requirements
  • Liaising with external accountants for tax compliance work
  • Ad hoc reporting as required

Requirements:

  • Preferably, you are a CA/CPA with 8+ years accounting experience developed working in a small to medium sized business. Ideally, you will have worked in a stand-alone capacity and have a broad accounting skill-set covering all aspects of financial accounting, management accounting as well as AP, AR, and Payroll.
  • Experience in a boutique investment/funds management, corporate advisory, family office, or professional services firms will be highly desirable.
  • Additionally, you will be comfortable in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Importantly, you will be a strong communicator with an eagerness to roll your sleeves up, learn and develop. Our client is open to a range of backgrounds as long as the individual can highlight a growth mindset.
