Early Childhood Educator Role

The role of an Early Childhood Educator is to develop and implement a quality play-based early childhood education program within the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and/or Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).

This involves ensuring an engaging, safe and aesthetic learning environment based on the knowledge of the child, children, EYLF, QKLG and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with fellow educators to support each other's professional development.
  • Building and maintaining strong, positive communication and relationships with families and children.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Early Childhood Certificate III level qualification or equivalent as approved by ACECQA.

Additional requirements include:

  • A commitment to ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practice in early childhood education.
