About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at Transgrid. As a key member of our Major Projects team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the public during the delivery of our major projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures for major projects
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and risk assessments
  • Provide health and safety training and guidance to project teams
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure health and safety is integrated into project planning and delivery
  • Investigate and report on health and safety incidents and near misses
  • Develop and maintain health and safety metrics and reporting

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
  • Extensive experience in health and safety roles, particularly in large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
