We are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join our team at the Curragh Mine, one of the largest open-cut coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin.
Key Responsibilities- Active member of the Short Term Scheduling Team, performing work including 16 week mine scheduling, reconciliation, optimisation, and continuous improvement.
- Effective communicator with a strong production and safety focus, with skills and drive to actively perform the engineering function.
- Understanding of open cut coal operations and knowledge of scheduling supplemented by experience in other mine engineering disciplines.
- Working knowledge of mining software programs such as SPRY (or similar).
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
