Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Specialist to join our team at Weeroona College Bendigo. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, and will have a range of responsibilities related to their expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students, and develop and implement curriculum plans to meet the needs of students.
  • Professional Learning: Provide professional learning opportunities for teachers, and develop and implement processes and protocols for observation and feedback of teacher practice.
  • Leadership: Work with the school leadership team to develop a shared view of highly effective teacher practice, and lead and model the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement curriculum plans, and provide expert advice on the context, processes, and strategies that will shape individual and school professional learning.
  • Student Support: Provide support to students, including supervising and training student teachers, and mentoring and coaching teachers.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching and learning, and professional learning and development.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
