Industrial Painter/Blaster Job Opportunity

Relocate to Perth, Australia as an experienced Industrial Painter/Blaster. This opportunity is ideal for professionals looking to relocate and advance their careers.

We are seeking skilled individuals to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have experience with coating and paint applications, sand-blasting, and related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare products for coating and ensure correct application.
  • Respect equipment, maintain it properly, and report defects to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain appropriate paint stock inventory according to business and statutory requirements.
  • Clean, sand, sandblast, scrape, brush, etch, and burn surfaces in preparation for spraying.
  • Mask windows, doors, and other nearby surfaces and equipment needing protection from spray, then remove after completion of the job.
  • Disassemble and reassemble components as necessary for painting and blasting functions.
  • Mix materials for proper application.
  • Erect ladders, staging, and other items to access different areas; move furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Repair surfaces to be sprayed/painted, including plastering and sheetrock finishing.
  • Adjust equipment to maintain proper spray application and clean equipment.
  • Carry out test procedures as required to confirm compliance with relevant procedures and standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing service standards and procedures to ensure responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Ensure quality work meets high standards and complies with site tolerances.
  • Be proactive in creating a professional team environment and assisting the supervisor.
  • Work within specified timeframes and deadlines.
  • Inspect products and/or materials for conformity with established operational standards.
  • Perform work under limited supervision either individually or in a team environment.
  • Ensure completed tasks meet statutory responsibilities relating to Environmental, Quality, and Zero Harm requirements, exercising safe work practices for self, others, and property.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workplace in accordance with Our Client's housekeeping goals, working closely with the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Industrial Painting/Blasting.
  • Hold IPAF, Slinger/Signaller, Confined Spaces, and Forklift certifications.
  • Ability to work independently and under own initiative.
  • Capacity to source information and stay up-to-date with new technologies.
