Job Title: Swim School Manager

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swim School Manager to join our team at Villawood JUMP Swim School.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the smooth daily operation of the swim school across all areas.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and manage the front desk, including answering calls, taking bookings and payments, and responding to emails and messages in a timely manner.
  • Manage and supervise swim teachers, including staff rosters, performance management, and recruitment of new employees.
  • Act on customer feedback and implement changes to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including employee, customer, pool maintenance, safety, and other records.
  • Develop and implement local area marketing initiatives to increase enrolment numbers.
  • Perform and record daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, and ensure ongoing training to maintain company standards.
  • Ensure the physical appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the site are maintained to a high standard.
  • Deliver swimming lessons when required.
  • Assist with general financial duties, including payment reconciliations, payroll, and accounts payable.
  • Manage stock control and maintain all onsite equipment to ensure they are regularly serviced, cleaned, and in good working order.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' management experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to effectively manage small teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Current CPR Certificate.
  • Current Blue Card/Working with Children Check as relevant to each state.
Desirable:
  • Aquatics industry experience.
  • Prior experience in the quality assurance of swim programs.
  • Financial management experience.
  • Familiarity with HR structures.
