Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineering Lead to join our team in Sydney, Melbourne, or remotely. The successful candidate will lead the development of cutting-edge AI systems that enable users to create stunning designs with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement AI-powered design generation systems and techniques that empower users.
  • Cultivate and grow skills in the team, including following the latest advancements in the industry and good software engineering practices.
  • Provide meaningful input into the engineering direction and strategy for the team.
  • Resource planning effectively, balancing delivery expectations with skill sets and strengths of engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and other Engineering Leads to understand and contribute to the product roadmap.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in technical and people leadership, making sound decisions and delivering outcomes on technical projects.
  • Experience or strong interest in design, with a genuine desire or proven experience in this space.
  • Previous experience as a ML Engineer or leading ML product teams, with a proven track record in running long-term engineering projects in the ML space.
  • Excellent research skills, staying abreast of the latest developments in deep learning and generative AI.
  • Ability to support the team to balance exploratory/innovative work with high priority feature delivery.
  • Effective communication skills (inside the team and outside) translating technical details to business value, building support and trust from stakeholders.
