Heavy Vehicle Operator

Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Truck Drivers to transport our premium manufactured windows and doors to a diverse clientele across the Cairns and Far North Queensland region. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all vehicles in a safe, clean, and well-functioning condition.
- Secure all cargo on trucks and trailers prior to departure.
- Adhere to hygiene and sanitation protocols consistently.
- Complete necessary documentation and checklists punctually.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized branch environment.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to safe working practices.
- Keep a detailed driver diary and manage paperwork in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of products.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery details.
- Follow site-specific requirements for safety gear and procedures.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
Candidate Profile:
To excel in this physically demanding role, candidates must demonstrate safe manual handling techniques and possess a strong work ethic.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Valid manual driver's license with a clean driving history.
- Possession of a construction white card.
- Previous experience in truck driving.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, including safe lifting practices.
- Excellent communication skills and reliability.
