As a Water Operations Trainee, you will work on a variety of projects and tasks that will help you develop your knowledge and skills in areas such as:
- Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants
- Pump Station Maintenance
- Wastewater Manhole Inspections
- Civil Pipe Laying and Construction
- Dam Catchment Surveillance
You will work closely with our experienced team members to learn the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this role. This is a full-time position for up to 2 years, working primarily in the water, wastewater, and construction areas of Council.
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Willing to learn and take on new challenges
- Interested in working in a team environment
- Eager to develop their skills and knowledge
- Great communicators with excellent written and verbal skills
- Focused on working safely and efficiently
- Able to commit to study requirements and complete all training in a timely manner
- Hold a current Driver's License (Red P's or more)
- Able to comply with uniform and PPE requirements
