Job Summary:

The Production Painter will be responsible for preparing and painting equipment for the Port Macquarie manufacturing and service business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sections, parts, materials, and equipment for painting
  • Apply paint according to manufacturer recommendations
  • Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning agents
  • Mix paint according to product Technical Data Sheets
  • Adjust spray gun, paint booth, and mix room settings to achieve quality paint finish outcomes
  • Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections
  • Operate machinery and equipment
  • Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards
  • Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Proficient language, literacy, and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
