We specialize in providing client-focused consulting and advisory services, training, support, and solutions in occupational hygiene, environment, and hazardous materials.

The Opportunity

Our small and dynamic finance team provides finance, accounting, and payroll services to the business units located in various locations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated accounting professional on a full-time basis to join the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in accounts and payroll who enjoys task variety in their daily work, interacting and engaging with clients, suppliers, and employees, and is committed to continuous improvement and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily bank reconciliations in Xero
  • Fortnightly payroll processing including PAYG, Payroll Tax & Super payments
  • Processing of accounts payable from purchase order to invoice to scheduling payments
  • Manage employee expense claims
  • Daily processing of company credit card receipts and reconciliation to statement
  • Deal with all incoming emails for accounts
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations and internal reporting

About You:

In addition to strong technical accounting and payroll experience, to succeed in this position, you will bring a collaborative mindset, valuing teamwork and actively contributing to achieving goals, and be adaptable and energetic.

You're a strong communicator, enjoy building rapport with both internal and external stakeholders, have excellent organizational skills, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.

You will bring the following:

  • A minimum of 3 years of commercial accounting experience in all facets of accounts
  • Knowledge of accounts procedures and financial control processes
  • Extensive working knowledge of Xero
  • Strong time management skills, proven ability to multi-task & prioritize workload
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • You naturally question things that don't look right and have a problem-solving mentality
  • Interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders
  • Verbal and written communication skills to professionally respond to queries from clients, suppliers & staff
  • Accountable, reliable, a person of integrity, and a team player
  • Positive, optimistic, and solutions-based outlook
