The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in managing a team of 15 chefs across two dining periods and working closely with both the front and back of house teams.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing and presenting all dishes for the restaurant.
- Support in supervising and managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the front and back of house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to source fresh and sustainable ingredients.
- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is required.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a hotel or similar environment.
- Proven track record of achieving high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HACCP and local food handling regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
