Equipment Handler

We are seeking an experienced and skilled operative to join our team based in Wollongong. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of equipment, machinery, and materials.

**Job Requirements:**

• Utilizing overhead and mobile cranes to sling loads with precision and control
• Transferring loads with chain blocks while ensuring maximum safety
• Rigging loads into required positions with minimal disruption
• Ensuring all lifting gear is compliant, tagged and in date to prevent any potential hazards
• Assisting tradesmen with tasks related to the job within capabilities and providing support when needed

**Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Sound mechanical aptitude and knowledge to operate complex equipment safely
• Proven versatility and adaptability across multiple tasks and challenging situations
• Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and management
• Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility with job tasks and duties
• Proven safety and quality focus to maintain a safe working environment

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Operating overhead and mobile cranes to sling loads efficiently
2. Transferring loads using chain blocks while adhering to safety protocols
3. Positioning loads accurately and safely
4. Maintaining and inspecting lifting gear to prevent accidents

**Requirements:**

• Basic-Intermediate Rigging ticket
• Valid Driver's licence

**Desirable Qualifications:**

• EWP certification
• Working at Heights certification
• Forklift ticket
• Confined space certification
