We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking healthy meals for children, considering dietary requirements and allergies. This involves planning menus and ordering food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director, as well as maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook healthy meals for children, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Plan menus in conjunction with the Centre Director, taking into account dietary requirements and allergies.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience is essential for this role.
- The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment.
- A current Victorian Working with Children Check is also required for this position.
