About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Lifeguard at the Thomastown Recreation & Aquatic Centre. As a Lifeguard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our patrons and providing a positive experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the safety of pool areas, including the pool deck, surrounding areas, and aquatic facilities.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to maintain a clean and organized pool area.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with patrons in a friendly and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
  • National Police Check
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
