Role Overview:

The Chef plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents at Arcare by preparing delicious and nutritious meals. The Chef is responsible for creating appetizing and balanced meals while ensuring positive dining experiences that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our residents. Additionally, the Chef will oversee the Catering team during their shifts.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation: Prepare meals according to the menus established by the Head Chef, ensuring that they are nutritious, visually appealing, and cater to the specific dietary needs of residents.
  • Special Diets: Address special dietary requirements, including texture-modified diets, to accommodate the unique health conditions and preferences of residents.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Comply with stringent food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring they meet high standards for taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
  • Adaptable, passionate, and eager to learn.
  • Collaborative and effective in teamwork.
  • Strong communication skills.
