About the Role:

The Chef plays a vital role in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents at Arcare by delivering appetizing and nutritious meals. The chef is responsible for preparing appealing and well-balanced dishes while creating positive dining experiences that contribute to the health and well-being of our residents. The Chef will oversee the Catering team during their shifts.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Meal Preparation: Prepare meals according to the menus established by the Head Chef, ensuring that the meals are nutritious, visually appealing, and cater to the specific dietary needs of individual residents.
• Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to meet the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
• Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
• Adaptable, passionate, and eager to learn.
• Collaborative and skilled in teamwork.
• Friendly and effective communication skills.
