As a seasoned electrical expert, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation function across minerals processing and supporting site infrastructure projects in studies, design, and delivery. This role requires strategic coordination to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project electrical and instrumentation design activities to guarantee quality, safety, and client satisfaction within budget constraints.
  • Supervise and mentor Design Engineers and Designer/Drafting staff to ensure adherence to technical standards and team objectives.
  • Lead with integrity, accountability, and vision, managing performance, mentoring, coaching, training, recruiting, and retaining high-performing team members.
  • Select and manage external electrical and instrumentation consultants.
  • Prepare budgets, time schedules, and resource plans for management approval and oversee assigned projects for quality and change management.
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the quality management process and drive innovation in engineering practices.
  • Support project development activities through concept setting, review, and communication with clients.

With a strong technical foundation in Electrical and Instrumentation design, specification, and procurement management, including HV, LV, and ELV power distribution and motor control, you will be able to effectively lead and manage technical/project teams and work in heavy industry environments.

  • Strong technical expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation design, specification, and procurement management.
  • Leadership experience in managing technical/project teams.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global environment.
